      Nenana gauge: 12.5 ft

Riley Creek has no gauge; estimated 400 cfs before glacial tributary came in. Water starts clear but turns glacial ½ mile into run.

      Character:
A classic run- great symmetry with the hiking and boating. Continuous class II-III read and run glacial water with an easy shuttle.

      Hike Description:
From the Johnson Pass Trailhead (north) walk almost 4 miles to a bridge that crosses Bench Creek. Keep in mind you’ll go across the Center Creek bridge before reaching Bench creek- don’t confuse this one for Bench! (you could packraft Center Creek, but it is lower volume, considerably more wood and no rapids).

Distance: Approximately 3.9 miles. 1.5-2 hours

      Elevation gain/loss: +220 ft, 60 ft

      Water Description:

Distance: Bench Creek: 4 miles. East Fork Sixmile Creek: 2.5 miles.

Time: Bench Creek: 1.5-2 hours, EF Sixmile Creek 45 min. 2.5-3 hours total
